Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of liquid Castile soap (choose unscented or scented based on your preference)

  • 1/4 cup of distilled water

  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable glycerin (optional, for added moisture)

  • 1 tablespoon of vitamin E oil, sweet almond oil, or olive oil (optional, for additional moisturizing benefits)

  • 10-15 drops of your preferred essential oil (such as lavender, peppermint, or tea tree) for fragrance (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a clean container, ideally a bottle with a pump or squeeze top, mix the liquid Castile soap with distilled water.

  2. If you are adding vegetable glycerin and/or oil for additional moisture, incorporate them into the mixture and stir gently to blend.

  3. Add your selected essential oil(s) drop by drop until the desired fragrance strength is achieved. Stir thoroughly to evenly distribute the oil throughout the mixture.

  4. Secure the container tightly and shake gently to ensure all ingredients are well combined.

  5. Your Castile body wash is now ready to use! Dispense a small amount onto a washcloth, loofah, or directly onto your hands, and lather onto your body. Rinse well with water.

  6. Store your homemade body wash in a cool, dark place when not in use. Shake before each use to ensure the ingredients are well mixed.

Note: You can modify the ingredients to suit your preferences. For those with sensitive skin, it might be best to omit the essential oils or select mild ones such as lavender or chamomile. Furthermore, it's important to perform a patch test before trying any new product, particularly if you have allergies or sensitivities. Enjoy making your own Castile body wash!
